Shoe Aid Partnership

Shoe Aid Partnership

I’m extremely proud to announce that elevate your sole has become the first in Wales to partner with charity ‘Shoe Aid’.

I was shocked to discover that approximately 2 million shoes per year are discarded to landfill, whilst the most vulnerable in society at home and abroad walk around in dilapidated shoes or none at all. After extensive research, I came into contact with Lee Todd from Shoe Aid, whose passion for helping those people most in need inspired me to action.

Shoe Aid was founded in 2010 and has since saved and distributed half a million shoes, including 700 pairs to victims of the Grenfell Tower disaster, 200,000 to the UK’s homeless and 2,000 to Nepal in response to a devastating earthquake.

I’ll be trying my absolute best to raise awareness for this cause locally and throughout Wales. As well as collecting shoes at both of our North Wales shops, I’m also reaching out to other local businesses to get onboard too. From builders’ work boots to Spas’ sandals, there will be some fantastic opportunities to help.

Throughout November, I will be offering all customers £2.50 ‘trade-in’ for your unwanted shoes to put towards a new pair. This will be limited to two pairs per transaction on ‘full price’ shoes & boots and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Shoes, boots and wellies welcome, although they must be in good usable condition.
