Choose Gabor Edith in black for a pointed slingback with a lower kitten heel. The leather upper and open-backed shape give the shoe a clean, dressy outline, while the buckle-fastened strap lets you adjust the fastening around your heel. Try it with ankle-length trousers so the slingback detail remains visible.

The covered heel has an actual height of 40mm, offering a lower alternative to a tall occasion shoe. Leather lining and a manmade sole finish the construction. The pointed front works equally well beneath a longer trouser hem or alongside a skirt.

Made in Portugal in Gabor's UK D width fitting, Edith suits office tailoring and occasion outfits. Its appeal is the combination of a neat pointed toe, adjustable back strap and small, shaped heel.
